4 Top Iron Stocks to Buy Now - Motley Fool

Iron is one of the most important commodities in the world. It's the largest global metals market as the economy uses more iron by volume than any other metal. That's because it's a crucial ingredient in making steel, which is in everything from buildings and bridges to pipelines and appliances. Iron is also essential for renewable energy as steel is the main component in wind turbines.

Given iron's vital role in building the infrastructure needed to expand the global economy, it's a key metal for investors. Overall, it's the third-largest commodities market by dollar value behind oil and gold.

However, despite its size and importance, not that many companies focus on mining the metal. That's because it's so costly to produce that companies need to operate a large-scale position in an area where ore is abundant to make it economical. As such, while there are hundreds of oil stocks and dozens of publicly traded gold mining companies, investors will only find a handful of top iron stocks.

Here's a look at the best four for investors to consider buying so that they can participate in this vital market.

Digging into the best iron stocks to buy

Due to the high costs of economically producing iron, only seven publicly traded companies focus on the metal since there aren't very many worthwhile metal deposits. Meanwhile, just four companies -- BHP Group (NYSE:BHP), Fortescue Metals Group (OTC:FSUMF), Rio Tinto (NYSE:RIO), and Vale (NYSE:VALE) -- control 70% of the global seaborne iron ore export market. Because of that, those four iron stocks top the list of ones that investors should consider buying:

Here's a closer look at these top iron ore stocks.

BHP Group: The diversified iron ore producer

BHP Group is one of the world's largest global resources companies. In addition to being one of the "big four" iron ore producers, it also mines copper, coal, nickel, and zinc, and has a potash mine under development. Meanwhile, BHP Group also has a petroleum business that produces oil and gas in the U.S., Australia, and Trinidad and Tobago.

While BHP Group is a diversified resources company, iron is its biggest moneymaker. The company's iron ore business contributed $11.1 billion of EBITDA during its fiscal 2019, which was 48% of the group's total. Copper was the next largest contributor at 19% of its EBITDA, followed by coal at 17% and petroleum at 16%.

The global resources giant produced 238 million tons of iron ore in its fiscal 2019, which was roughly flat with 2018's level. However, BHP Group's iron ore EBITDA increased by nearly 25% year over year, mainly due to higher realized prices.

All of the company's iron ore output in fiscal 2019 came from its interest in Western Australia Iron Ore (WAIO), which is a series of joint ventures (JVs) located in the iron-rich Pilbara region of northern Western Australia. The company and its partners operate four joint ventures: Mt Newman, Yandi, Mt Goldsworthy, and Jimblebar, with BHP Group holding an 85% interest in each one. These JVs control an integrated system consisting of four processing hub and five mines connected by more than 600 miles of rail and port infrastructure to get the ore to global markets.

BHP also holds a 50% interest in the Samarco mine in Brazil, which it co-owns with Vale. However, the companies suspended operations at the mine in 2015 following a mining disaster that killed 17 people. They've since spent billions of dollars on fines and cleanup costs, which enabled them to receive permission to restart the mine. They expect that to happen by the end of 2020, aiming to get production up to 14 million-16 million tons of ore within six years. Though, that's well below its 25-million-ton capacity before the accident.

The upcoming restart of Saramco is one of two notable future production drivers for BHP Group's iron ore operations. The other is the South Flank project in Australia, which should start-up in 2021. The company is investing more than $3 billion into the project so that it can eventually replace the 80 million tons of annual output at the Yandi mine when it depletes.

BHP has a top-tier iron ore business with visible growth prospects. However, there are some company-specific issues that investors need to note. One of them is its diversification. While that helps reduce some risks, it can cause other problems. For example, BHP doesn't have as much upside to higher iron ore prices as its more focused peers, which could cause its stock to underperform them in a strong market. Meanwhile, BHP produces dirtier fossil fuels like oil and coal, which is a potential problem given the rise in climate change concerns in recent years. Those commodities could prove to be much less valuable in the future if the global economy accelerates its adoption of renewables. However, such a move would benefit iron ore producers since steel is a crucial component of wind turbines.

BHP Group's exposure to fossil fuels aide, it's among the leaders in the iron ore sector, which makes it one of the top stocks in the industry to buy.

Fortescue Metals Group: The growth-focused iron stock

Fortescue Metals Group, or FMG, is an Australia-focused iron ore producer. It operates two mining hubs in the Pilbara region of Western Australia: Solomon and Chichester. It also has an integrated port and railway system with roughly 400 miles of track to get its ore to export markets like China.

The Chichester Hub consists of two mines, Cloudbreak and Christmas Creek, that have the capacity to produce 100 million tons of ore per year. The Solomon Hub, meanwhile, also supports two mines, Firetail and Kings Valley, which have the capacity to produce between 70 to 75 million tons per year.

In addition to FMG's two operating hubs, it has two major iron projects under development. The company is investing $1.275 billion on the Eliwana Mine and rail development. The mine will produce 30 million tons of ore per year when it comes online at the end of 2020 and will connect to the Solomon Hub via a roughly 90-mile rail line. The company is also a partner on the $2.6 billion Iron Bridge project. It will have the capacity to produce 22 million tons of ore when it comes online in mid-2022.

On top of its development projects, FMG also has an extensive exploration portfolio. It's one of the largest acreage holders in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, where it's searching not only for new iron deposits but also copper and gold. It's also exploring for metals in Ecuador, Colombia, and Argentina. It's drilling prospective copper targets in Ecuador, while it's working on a potential copper-gold mine in Argentina.

FMG operates a large-scale and growing iron ore operation. However, its primary focus is on selling iron to China, which is a risk worth noting. While that country is the largest manufacturer of steel in the world -- thus the top consumer of iron -- FMG's dependence on the Chinese steel market could prove problematic. For example, the country's government has mandated steel production reductions in the past due to environmental issues, which has negatively impacted iron demand. Meanwhile, it's involved in an ongoing trade dispute with the U.S., which has weighed on its economic growth in recent years. This slowdown has impacted its steel consumption as well as the need for iron. These issues are leading the company to diversify its customer base, with it recently expanding into new markets like Japan, South Korea, and India.

While FMG's outsized exposure to the Chinese market is worth noting, the company is one of the dominant forces in the iron sector. That makes it one of the top stocks to buy for exposure to that key metal.

Rio Tinto: The high-tech and clean iron company

Rio Tinto is a diversified mining company. It operates four business units: Aluminum, iron ore, copper and diamonds, and energy and minerals. In 2018, the company produced $18.1 billion of EBITDA, 62% of which came from its iron ore operations. Its aluminum business was the next largest contributor at 17% of its EBITDA followed by its copper and diamonds business at 15%, with energy and minerals rounding things out at 7%.

The global mining giant produced 338 million tons of iron ore in 2018, up about 2% from 2017's level. All that output came from the Pilbara region of Western Australia, where it operates the world's largest integrated portfolio of iron ore assets. That business consists of 16 mines, four port facilities, and more than 1,000 miles of rail infrastructure. The company is also the world's largest autonomous truck operator, which has increased its efficiency while lowering its costs.

Rio Tinto has two other iron-related assets, which are part of its energy and minerals segment. It owns the Iron Ore Company of Canada (IOC), which is a leading Canadian producer of iron ore concentrate and pellets. IOC operates a mine and more than 250 miles of rail that connect it to a port facility. IOC produced 9 million tons of iron pellets in 2018, which was down 20% from the prior year due to a strike. Rio Tinto also owns the Simandou project in Guinea, which is one of the world's largest untapped iron ore deposits.

The company's iron-focused investments, however, are in Western Australia. In 2018, it approved the $2.6 billion Koodaideri Phase 1 project, which will be a new production hub in the region. The project should come online in late 2021 and have the capacity to handle 43 million tons of ore per year, enabling the company to replace depleting mine production elsewhere. It's also spending money on a pre-feasibility study into Koodaideri phase 2, which could boost the hub's production capacity to more than 70 million tons in the years ahead.

Rio Tinto has worked hard over the years to reduce risk. The company, for example, sold off is coal mining assets in 2018 to not only reduce its climate change-related risks but also bolster its balance sheet. As a result of asset sales like that, it paid off nearly $10 billion in debt during the 2016 to 2019 timeframe, giving it one of the strongest balance sheets in the sector.

Rio Tinto, however, isn't without issues. One is that all the money the company is pouring into its iron business isn't going to increase its output. Instead, these investments will offset the depletion of its legacy mines. As such, its iron-related earnings will only expand if it reduces costs or prices rise. That lack of visible growth could cause it to underperform faster-growing rivals if demand for the metal surges in the coming years. That could happen if the adoption of renewable energy accelerates, powering the need for more steel to make wind turbines.

Vale: Cleaning up its iron ore operations

Vale is the world's leading producer of iron ore and nickel. The Brazilian company also mines copper, coal, manganese, and ferroalloys. In addition to its mining business, Vale has major operations in the logistics, power, and steelmaking sectors. Iron, however, is by far its main moneymaker at 89% of its total earnings in 2018.

Vale produced 385 million tons of iron ore in 2018 from 22 mines in Brazil as well as from pellet plants in that country, Oman, and China. Most of the company's Brazilian mines are in the northern Carajas region. On average, rocks in Carajas contain 67% iron ore, which is the highest concentration in the world. Because of that, Vale can produce iron at very economical costs.

The company's iron ore sales volumes, however, are on track to decline to a range of 307 million to 312 million tons in 2019. The main issue weighing on output was another devastating mining disaster in January. A dam supporting a mining tailings pond in Brumadinho failed, releasing toxic floodwaters into the surrounding area. The tragedy killed more than 250 people, forcing the company to stop production in the affected area.

The company's poor environmental track record in recent years is a risk that investors should note. However, Vale has been working to not only make reparation for the Brumadinho and Samarco disasters but also ensure that no more of its mining dams fail. The company has been shoring up old tailings ponds as well as working to move more of its mining operations to dry processing, with it planning to invest $1.8 billion between 2020 and 2024 on that initiative. In addition to that, it's taking several other steps to become a cleaner company, including targeting to be carbon neutral by 2050. Among the initiatives it's working on is a goal to self-generate 100% of its energy from clean sources, reduce its new water collection by 10%, and recover and protect more than 1 million acres of forest land.

The company also plans to get its iron business back on track. It expects to get its production volumes back to 2018's level by 2021 when its output to be between 375 million and 395 million tons. Meanwhile, it believes it can get production up to a range of 390 million to 400 million tons by 2022. Two factors will drive this growth. First, it expects to bring currently curtailed mines like Saramco back online. Meanwhile, it will also benefit from the continued production growth of its recently completed S11D mine. Vale spent $14.3 billion to bring that location online. After producing 55 million tons in 2018, it should reach its current capacity of 90 million tons in 2020. The company is also investing another $770 million to boost that mine's capacity up to 100 million tons by 2022.

Vale is the global leader in the iron ore sector. While it has had some notable missteps in the past, it's working to clean up its operations and image. Add that to the fact that its output is on track to grow past its prior peak in the coming years, and it remains one of the top ways to invest in the iron sector.

The big four dominate the iron sector

With a commanding 70% share of the global seaborne iron ore market, these four mining companies dominate this sector. Because of that, they're by far the best stocks for investors to buy if they want to profit from the expected growth of iron demand as steel consumption increases.

Each one, however, offers a unique way to invest in the iron industry. FMG and Vale are largely pure plays on the sector, with FMG offering a more healthy growth profile while Vale is a bounce-back candidate. Rio Tinto and BHP Group, on the other hand, are more diversified mining companies. Rio has a cleaner portfolio, while BHP offers the most diversification across the global commodity space, making it more of a one-stop-shop for investors.

"Crime is a social product, crime is a social problem. As a social problem, sebagai problem sosial, masyarakat kita semua punya tanggung jawab soal itu.

Top progressives, DCCC reach ceasefire over 'blacklist' - POLITICO

Top liberals have reached a détente with the House Democratic campaign arm in a dispute over a policy that inhibits primary challengers to incumbents — a move intended to unify Democrats in this year's battle to protect their majority and defeat President Donald Trump.

Some of the House's most influential progressives, including Reps. Mark Pocan (D-Wis.) and Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.), said they will contribute tens of thousands of dollars to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, despite a contentious new rule that blacklists campaign consultants who work for candidates taking on sitting Democratic members.

The decision by the co-chairs of the Congressional Progressive Caucus represents a thawing of monthslong tensions with DCCC Chairwoman Cheri Bustos (Ill.), who had fiercely defended the policy over bitter objections from high-profile Democrats like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-N.Y.).

The group — Bustos and about two dozen progressive Democrats — sat down privately last week to discuss the 2020 cycle, during which she thanked liberals in the room who have agreed to pay their dues, according to people familiar with the meeting.

"I intend to pay the full dues. I have a view that, in 2020, we have to come together to ensure the defeat of Donald Trump and the retaining of our majority," said Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), another sharp critic of the DCCC policy who began paying dues in January.

A rank-and-file member like Khanna, who isn't in leadership or on an exclusive committee, is expected to pay roughly $150,000 in party dues during the election cycle.

"My view has always been that I think that policy should be changed," said Khanna, who ousted a Democratic incumbent, then-Rep. Mike Honda, in 2016. "But we have to make sure that we're supporting the effort."

So far, Ocasio-Cortez remains the most prominent exception to the newly improved relationship between progressives and the DCCC.

The New York Democrat — whose stunning primary victory in 2018 stirred fear in incumbents across the country — first urged her millions of Twitter followers to "pause" their contributions to the campaign arm when the blacklist policy was announced last March.

And earlier this month, Ocasio-Cortez declared she had no plans to pay party dues despite raising millions of dollars last year and was instead launching her own political action committee to fund the candidates she supports directly. The Courage to Change PAC has raised a staggering $229,000 in the 11 days since its launch this month, according to figures provided by her campaign.

"DCCC made clear that they will blacklist any org that helps progressive candidates like me. I can choose not to fund that kind of exclusion," Ocasio-Cortez wrote on Twitter.

Much of DCCC's fundraising is devoted to protecting hard-fought seats in GOP-leaning territory. Ocasio-Cortez does still contribute to some of those battleground Democrats' campaigns: She has donated to Reps. Mike Levin (D-Calif.), Katie Porter (D-Calif.) and Jahana Hayes (D-Conn.), all freshmen the DCCC considers to be in competitive districts.

And she pointed out that her fundraising for fellow Democrats exceeds the $250,000 amount that she owes in dues as a member of the prestigious Financial Services Committee.

Still, the freshman's position has irked some of her fellow Democrats.

"Members have a right to make that decision," said Rep. Gregory Meeks, a fellow New York City Democrat who had previously criticized Ocasio-Cortez's position on dues and faces his own, Ocasio-Cortez-inspired primary this spring. "I want us to be all together as a team. I don't want us to have dialogue that divides us as a team, that makes us weak," he added.

Progressive leaders suggested that they respected Ocasio-Cortez's choice — even if they would not follow her lead. Pocan said he believed "most of us see it as broader than any one person who you may not love the dues going to."

"AOC has a very unique ability to raise lots of money on the outside that no one else does and she can use that to also be helpful," Pocan said. "So I don't at all diss what she's doing if she finds another vehicle to be helpful. For most of us, it's the collective efforts that happen through the DCCC that help make sure that we're in the majority."

The agreement between liberal leaders and the party's campaign arm is significant as Democrats gear up for an election that determines whether they can hold onto their nascent majority.

"Progressive members in our caucus bring an important perspective to the table. I value their input on our strategy," Bustos said in a statement to POLITICO about partnering with the CPC. "That's why we have already made major early investments in field organizing, voter registration and voting-rights litigation."

But the temporary truce does not entirely resolve the age-old dispute between the activist and establishment wings of the Democratic caucus: how best to protect incumbents without blocking the path of left-leaning challengers, like Ocasio-Cortez, who are helping to energize the party.

Jayapal, who worked with Pocan behind the scenes for months to protest the DCCC's policy, said she realizes the so-called "blacklist" rule won't change this cycle but wants to keep a line of communication open with the committee.

"Hopefully that is something we can get taken care of in the next," Jayapal said of the policy, adding, "all of our dues matter."

"We also want to make sure that we are doing as much as possible to maintain our House majority and so the key is: Can we get to a place where our members feel like the DCCC is supporting all of us?" Jayapal said.

Withholding dues is not an uncommon practice. Dozens of House Democrats have shirked the duty this year for an array of reasons, such as fundraising prowess, dynamics in their district and members' own relationships with DCCC. The same pattern has also plagued House Republicans.

The most endangered Democrats, for example, are not required to chip in to the caucus's fundraising efforts. And certain groups, like senior members of the Congressional Black Caucus, have historically withheld dues because they felt the party organ has neglected them in the past.

More than a third of all Democrats hadn't paid dues as of December 2019, according to a campaign report obtained by POLITICO. That list included progressives like Pocan, Jayapal and Khanna, some of whom have since contributed to DCCC or say they plan to this year.

Three other prominent liberal Democrats, Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) and Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.), also did not pay dues as of December. Their staff did not respond to requests for comment about whether they planned to start paying dues.

Donating to the party committee can also be a symbolic gesture, a way for a member to demonstrate their commitment to and gain clout within the House Democratic caucus.

The spotlight on dues-paying Democrats comes after the DCCC announced last year that it will not contract with or recommend any political vendors that help a candidate primarying any sitting incumbent in the caucus.

The new hiring standards incensed progressives who accused Bustos and her team of kneecapping insurgent candidates following in the footsteps of Ocasio-Cortez and Pressley, who ousted then-Rep. Mike Capuano last cycle.

The committee is a powerful gatekeeper for campaign consultants. It doles out millions of dollars in business for its independent expenditure arm and also connects them with candidates.

In past cycles, the "blacklist" policy operated in as an unwritten, loosely enforced rule. But the codification of what had been general practice had a large impact because of an increase in primary challengers inspired by the 2018 cohort.

Ocasio-Cortez relied on few traditional campaign vendors, but others did. AKPD Message & Media, a prominent Democratic firm that worked for former President Barack Obama, made TV ads for Pressley — and Anzalone Liszt Grove Research, which is working for former Vice President Joe Biden this year, did her polling.

Several of this year's primary challengers said the negative effects of the policy were swift. Marie Newman, a marketing consultant who is making a second run against Rep. Dan Lipinski (D-Ill.), one of the most conservative House Democrats, lost four consultants within a month of the introduction of the blacklist.

Top progressive leaders have made repeated appeals to Bustos to end the policy, but she has held firm. She has marketed it as a way to protect the moderate majority-makers from liberal challengers who could divert precious resources away from the general election — the types of Democrats who helped elect Bustos as campaign chair last year.

But the policy also benefits members of the Congressional Black and Hispanic caucuses who have seen an uptick in primary challengers — some of whom have earned public endorsements from Democrats like Ocasio-Cortez.

In a briefing with reporters last week, Bustos declined to rule out spending for Democrats in safe seats who have tough primaries. She specifically noted DCCC had met with Rep. Joyce Beatty (D-Ohio) to offer advice and campaign staff recommendation. Beatty was outraised in the third-quarter of last year by a Democratic primary challenger, consumer advocate Morgan Harper.

"We offer that to any member of the Democratic House," Bustos said, calling her committee, "an incumbent friendly organization."

Federer Celebrates 900 Weeks In Top 10 Of FedEx ATP Rankings - ATP Tour

Roger Federer has become the first player in FedEx ATP Rankings history to spend 900 weeks in the Top 10.

The Swiss superstar hit the milestone on Monday, having first broken into the sport's elite group on 20 May 2002 at No. 8 after winning his first ATP Masters 1000 crown in Hamburg (d. Safin).

Federer was a permanent member of the Top 10 from 14 October 2002 until 7 November 2016, when a long-standing knee injury ended his 734-week stint in the Top 10. During those 14 years and 25 days, he spent 302 of his 310 weeks at the summit of men's professional tennis.

Federer returned to the Top 10 on 30 January 2017, after winning his 19th Grand Slam championship crown with victory at the Australian Open.

Since first breaking into the Top 10 in May 2002, Federer has spent a record-breaking 310 weeks at No. 1 in the FedEx ATP Rankings, 218 weeks at World No. 2 and 218 weeks at No. 3, where the 38-year-old currently sits. He has also won 100 of his 103 career titles as a member of the Top 10.

Jika Yasonna Tak Minta Maaf dalam Kurun 2x24 Jam, Ini yang Akan Dilakukan Warga Tanjung Priok

Posted: 22 Jan 2020 03:06 AM PST

Didemo Warga Tanjung Priok, Ini Pembelaan Yasonna Laoly

Posted: 22 Jan 2020 03:06 AM PST

"Karena, crime is determinedby socioeconomicfactorsratherthan genetic factors.

Top Senior Bowl prospects Javon Kinlaw and Kyle Dugger took very different paths to NFL testing ground - The Philadelphia Inquirer

MOBILE, Ala. --- Their schools are maybe 2 ½ hours apart by car, and on Tuesday morning, Javon Kinlaw and Kyle Dugger were separated by only a few yards of Mobile Convention Center floor space.

But their situations this week at the Senior Bowl are vastly different.

Kinlaw, South Carolina's dominating defensive tackle, is penciled into the first round of April's NFL draft, as the predraft process gets underway. He might be the top NFL prospect participating in this week's game. In a series of interviews before the week's first practices, Kinlaw repeatedly was asked why in the world he is in Mobile, risking injury, or embarrassment at the hands of some random offensive lineman, when he would seem to have little to prove here.

Dugger, meanwhile, is a safety from Division II Lenoir-Rhyne, in Hickory, N.C. His entire college team celebrated when Dugger was invited to the Senior Bowl. He needs to be here, to show NFL scouts he can do the same things against big-time NFL prospects that he did to the wide receivers and running backs from Newberry, or Mars Hill, or Tusculum. Dugger risks little by competing this week, and he could reap big rewards.

Dugger might be from the most obscure program, but he is more representative of what the Senior Bowl has come to be in 2020 than is Kinlaw. Many of this year's top draft prospects are among the 103 underclassmen who have declared. They can't compete in Mobile unless they have graduated. The college playoff system has thrown in another wrinkle: LSU cornerback Kristian Fulton withdrew Monday, at least partly because his college season just ended last week, after 15 games.

College players showcasing themselves in Mobile now tend to have something to prove to NFL talent evaluators. That's true of even the biggest names, such as Oregon quarterback Justin Herbert, who entered the 2019 season as the top prospect at his position and ended it no better than the third- or fourth-best QB, many analysts feel.

Kinlaw, a potential Fletcher Cox-type interior pass rusher who measured and weighed in Tuesday at a shade over 6-foot-5, 315 pounds, said he doesn't feel his situation is very different from that of anyone else pawing the artificial turf at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.

"I feel like I've got something to prove my dang self," Kinlaw said. "I just got a lot of high expectations of myself, and I love to play ball. It's another opportunity to play. Why not?

"I've got everything to prove. I treat myself like I'm the guy still at the bottom. … I set my goals so high this season, and I just feel like I didn't accomplish any of them, honestly."

Kinlaw was named a first-team Associated Press All-American after dropping more than 20 pounds last offseason. He finished 2019 with six sacks, rushing from a DT spot, but he'd hoped for a lot more.

"I said, 'I want to have, like, 15 sacks.' I didn't even get close," Kinlaw said.

Dugger, half an inch over 6-foot and weighing 220, projects as one of those increasingly popular safety-linebacker hybrids. His Lenoir-Rhyne coach, Drew Cronic, who recently became head coach at Mercer, has called Dugger the type of player a small school gets maybe once every couple of decades.

What does being invited to the Senior Bowl mean to him?

"That means everything. It's something I didn't expect to happen. To be here, to be able to compete with these guys, it's huge for me," Dugger said. "It's all I could really ask for, as a D-II athlete, trying to play at the next level."

Dugger said there were initial conversations about how he might practice a little at linebacker this week, but he hasn't heard anything about that lately. He said NFL teams he has met with here want to know where he feels most comfortable, which is safety, he said.

"I want to show them my versatility. I want to show them everything I got … and potentially what I could learn and what I could do at the next level," Dugger said. "I feel like I bring a lot of IQ" after playing under four different defensive coordinators.

Dugger said when he got no Division I offers coming out of high school in Fayetteville, Ga., and settled on Lenoir-Rhyne, the NFL remained "a long-term goal," but one he had no idea how to achieve.

"I didn't know so much about steps like this," he said.

Kinlaw's biggest challenges came earlier. He shared with reporters his early childhood story of deprivation in Washington, where his family sometimes camped out in basements, without running water. Kinlaw's mother brought Kinlaw and his brother there from Trinidad and Tobago just before Kinlaw was born, he said.

"I was a kid. … That stuff didn't bother me. I was just thinking, 'That's how we live.' I didn't know how everybody else was living," Kinlaw said.

Now he has a 9-month-old daughter, Eden Kamara Kinlaw, and a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. As he prepares for the draft, Kinlaw's priority is making sure she has a very different beginning, one he feels he can help secure by doing well this week.

"My little girl, she can't even walk [yet]," Kinlaw said. "She got all the shoes, all the clothes, so much food."

RW di Surabaya Minta Maaf Gunakan Istilah Nonpribumi dalam Surat Edaran. Begini Pengakuannya

Posted: 22 Jan 2020 12:36 AM PST

Posted: 21 Jan 2020 09:36 PM PST

Penutupan ruas jalan sangat situasional.

"Rekayasa lalu lintas situasional. Kalau dia tutup jalan semua ya kita tutup," imbuhnya.

Hmm, kalau menurut kalian sendiri gimana sob? Apa komentar kalian terhadap kasus ini? (haigrid.id/artikel asli)

VIRAL Kisah Pernikahan 12 Hari: Berpisah Tanpa Penjelasan, Istri Dibiarkan Pergi Begitu Saja

Posted: 21 Jan 2020 06:06 PM PST

"Halo semua,aku nay

Okay here we go

Maaf kalo berantakan because this is my first time bikin ginian. Aku nggak bakal pake identitas palsu, jadi kalau setelah thread ini kalian ketemu aku di mana pun, jangan bisik-bisik seperti mereka yaaa. Sapa aja siapa tahu bisa sharing

Kami menikah 13 Desember 2019

Masih baru banget ya? Masih hangat-hangatnya kalau saja semua berjalan seperti kisah beruntung orang di luar sana. Tapi ntah, ketidak beruntungan sedang ingin sekali berteman denganku. Pernikahan kami hanya bertahan 12 hari.

Chattingan 24x7
Teleponan sampai tengah malam bahkan dini hari

Tiba-tiba semua mengalir begitu saja

Aku cuma jawab "oh maksudmu pacaran?". Tapi di luar ekspektasi dia justru bilang..

"Enggak, aku udah bosen pacaran. Kita udah deket kan selama ini."

"Lah trus apa dong?

Akhirnya aku ajak ketemu dia, and i said yes.

Akhirnya hari senin pun tiba, kami melakukan prosesi lamaran.

Kaget..
Setengah mati kaget..

Aku nggak berani cerita orang tua

Bingung..

Tiba-tiba aku takut ngadepin dia..

Setiap keinget dia, aku inget gimana cara marahnya dia

Dia: izin sulit soalnya mau ujiam
Ipar: ya udahlah diem o aja

Dia: halah biarin biar sibuk semaunya, capek juga tubuhnya sendiri. Jangan sampe ngeluh ke aku. aku mending keluar sendiri lah makan enak di lalapan p*******
Ipar: betul
Dia: udahlah aku males ribut paling dia nggak bisa dikalahin. Nggak peduli sibuk nggak

Dia: capek ya rasain sendiri, serakah emang dia
Ipar: ya udah gapapa dong, kan enak kamu (mungkin maksud dia enak karna aku kerja ngasilin duit)

Dia: (kirim foto lagi shopping)

Dia: ogah makan duit dia
Ipar: bener, biar ada harganya kamu. Aku kok kasihan sih lihat kamu dek

Kami akad jam 7 pagi, syukurlah berjalan lancar
Dia mengucap akad dengan sekali tarikan napas
Seketika pikiran buruk semua hilang

Semua ketakutan redam dengan kata "SAH"

aku mulai menghilangkan semua pikiran negatifku

Semua kesedihan enyah
Semua keraguan berganti sama kebahagiaan

Meski aku tahu pasti bakalan kena sanksi, tapi demi kebaikan bersama aku aku bakal terima

Nah udah kek biasa

Mama aku mau tanya, cuma nggak enak nanti malah bikin salah paham, ya udah akhirnya dia berangkat kerja

(Ya Allah mama :" selalu berat kalo bahas pas part nya ortu..)

"Haduh mama nggak suka sate.

Aku sih nggak mikir apa-apa, cuma mikir kalau ternyata mama mertua nggak suka sate, jadi lain kali harus bawa yang lain
Nggak lama si ipar dateng (beda rumah kita) bawa mangga

Sakit..
Tapi aku milih diem

Aku masuk aja dia nggak noleh nggak apa :"

Aku tanya nggak dijawab..
Mereka ketawa-ketawa ngobrol seolah aku nggak ada
(Sakit..)

Akhirnya aku jalan ke dapur..

Aku bikin teh anget siapa tau bisa nenangin sedih meski sedikit, ternyata semakin denger mereka ketawa kerasa makin sakit gitu..
Aku ini apa? Apa salahku ?
Sebelum ini mereka baik banget kenapa jadi gini?

Akhirnya aku ke kemar lagi dan tidur

Aku nggak tau jam berapa dia masuk, tau-tau pagi dan kita beraktivitas seperti biasa
Dia kerja, aku ke rumah bantu usaha orang tua lagi
Jam istirahat aku chat "gimana? Cape ya? Semangat mas.."
Di baca doang :"

Semakin hari keanehan makin menjadi

(Banjir dah banjir subhanallah rasanya..)

Kecewa, sakit, ngerasa nggak pantes
Ngerasa nggak layak

Apakah karna fisikku?

I'm curvy
Dia bilang apa masalahnya? Dia menerima baik buruk dan segala tantangannya
Tapi sekarang jadi gini?
Malam itu aku hancur ..

Hancur dengan posisi tidak punya siapa-siapa

Tidak ada pegangan sama sekali
Bahkan tempat bercerita aja nggak ada
Aku bener-bener sendiri..
Mau cerita ke orang tua, nggak mungkin
Aku nggak tega kalau ngerusak kebahagiaan mereka

Meski setiap aku masak dia nggak mau makan
Semakin hari makin parah

Tapi dia sama sekali nggak tanya
"Kamu kenapa?"
"Ke dokter?"
Atau sekadar bikinin teh..

(Astaghfirullah..)

Dia lihat aku bolak balik kamar mandi dan sama sekali ngga tanya ..

Aku tanya "ada minyak kayu putih?"
Sama dia diambilin dan ditaruh gitu aja
Dia tetep ganti baju dan pergi kerja

(Wait..give me some time:" )

Lanjut..

Akhirnya jam 9-an aku dah nggak kuat lagi mau jalan aku telepon ayah aku ..

Aku masih diem sama sesenggukan
"Kak ada apa?" Akhirnya aku beraniin bicara
"Maafin aku pa.. aku cuma bisa ngerepotin papa" masih tetep sesenggukan

"Apa se kak? Ada apa ini? Kamu kenapa?"

Sekitar 15 menitan aku denger suara pintu kebuka,a ku yakin itu papa

Setelah tau respon beliau aku minta dianter kerumah aja, aku pengen ketemu mama dulu
Biar mama yang bikinin obat
Biasanya dibikinin jamu-jamuan gitu :"

Ntah kenapa pas baru dateng liat wajah beliau aku langsung nangis gitu aja :"

Pas jam 3-an aku telfon dia..

Dia cuma bilang "maaf.. maaf banget"

Udah gitu doang :"

Papa aku emosi, kelihatan banget wajahnya merah tapi mataya berair :"

Kalimat mama nyampein kalo sekarang aku sendiri..
Aku nggak punya dia..
Dia ga akan balik ke sini..
Aku diem, speechless
Cuman mama yng meluk, pandanganku kosong
Aku bener-bener  ga inget waktu itu aku gimana
Yang aku tau semuanya hancur..
Benar benar hancur..

Pas mama keluar aku ambil hp

Aku beraniin chat dia ..

Translate
Aku : tolong.

Aku gapaham dia trauma apa

Tapi dia dulu pernah gagal nikah

Jangan kalian

Ini kelam ..
Benar-benar gelap
Seperti mengambil sepertiga bagian hidup

Alasan Pecat Helmy Yahya, Dewas: Liga Inggris Tak Sesuai Jati Diri Bangsa

Posted: 21 Jan 2020 05:36 PM PST

UPDATE: Mug shots of 'Occupy Fremont' protesters released - KTNV Las Vegas

Posted: 21 Jan 2020 04:58 PM PST

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — UPDATE JAN. 21: 13 Action News has obtained the mug shots of the 12 people arrested during the Occupy Fremont protests on Jan. 20.

Occupy Fremont mugshots.JPG

11 P.M. UPDATE: Organizers behind a protest aimed at two new ordinances to address homelessness in downtown Las Vegas say 12 people were arrested and at least one person was hurt Monday evening.

13 Investigates was there as dozens of protesters gathered at Las Vegas City Hall.

"Homelessness is a very serious problem but the bigger problem is that our government is not taking our opinion into account," said Katie Krikorian, who runs the Facebook page "Revolutionary Acts of Kindness"

"The street cleaning ordinance, the most frustrating part, if the department of sanitation said they have no issues cleaning the streets, this is a completely unnecessary bill and it's just the second step in clearing the homeless away where we can't see them," added Krikorian.

Krikorian was one of the people who was taken into custody after several protesters refused to obey law enforcement and laid down on Casino Center Boulevard and Fremont Street.

Protesters were upset by two recent ordinances passed by City of Las Vegas leaders.

The first measure was passed in November 2019, which made camping on city sidewalks illegal if beds are available at homeless shelters. That ordinance went into effect on Sunday.

The second ordinance was passed on Wednesday, making sitting or camping on city sidewalks illegal during designated cleaning times.

"It deserves our outrage and we plan to resist and fight every step of the way until they decide to end the homeless ordinance," said Jonas Rand, and organizer and volunteer with Water and Solidarity

Supporters of the measure say public safety and sanitation are the mean reasons the new laws are needed.

According to Water and Solidarity, there is another mass camping protest set for Feb. 2.

5 P.M. UPDATE: The Occupy Fremont protest is happening now in downtown Las Vegas. The protest has closed traffic on Casino Center between Carson Avenue and Ogden. The march started at Las Vegas City Hall.

Protesters say they chose Martin Luther King Jr. Day for their protest because they feel the rights of homeless people are being trampled on.

Several homeless advocates believe two recent laws are blatantly anti-homeless. The protesters say they will be committing acts of civil disobedience to show their displeasure of the new laws.

ORIGINAL STORY
LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- Several homeless advocacy groups plan to shut down Fremont Street on Martin Luther King Jr. Day in response to two controversial camping ban laws passed by Las Vegas City Council.

Representatives of the Justice for the Poor Coalition, hosts of the protest, said people would gather at Las Vegas City Hall at 4 p.m. on Monday with tents and sleeping bags for a rally, and then march to Fremont Street for a demonstration.

PREVIOUS STORIES:

In a release, Joseph Lankowski with Food Not Bombs Las Vegas said they couldn't reveal the route of their march as some protesters "will be engaging in acts of civil disobedience."

The groups have protested since November when council members passed an ordinance banning sitting, sleeping, or camping in most public areas within city limits if beds are available at area homeless shelters.

Protests were renewed when council passed an ordinance allowing city administrators to create a sidewalk cleaning program, and banning sitting, sleeping, or camping on public sidewalks during posted cleaning times.

Mayor Carolyn Goodman said the new laws are designed to help connect the city's homeless population to resources they may desperately need while addressing sanitation and safety issues associated with homeless encampments.
