Iran vows revenge and 'harsh retaliation' after U.S. kills its top general - NBCNews.com

Iran vowed to seek revenge on the United States on Friday after an American airstrike killed one of the country's most powerful military and political figures.

The U.S. bombing near Baghdad airport killed Qassem Soleimani, the high-profile commander of Iran's secretive Quds Force and sometimes described as the country's second most influential person.

"The great nation of Iran will take revenge for this heinous crime," Iranian President Hassan Rouhani tweeted after the news was confirmed.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said a "harsh retaliation is waiting for the criminals whose filthy hands spilled his blood." The country's foreign minister, Javad Zarif, called the U.S. strike "an act of state terrorism and a violation of Iraq's sovereignty."

Soleimani was one of the most influential figures in the Middle East, having developed a network of powerful militia groups whose clandestine reach stretched into Iraq, Syria and beyond.

His death is a major escalation in the recent tensions between Washington and Tehran, and Friday morning local time, the State Department urged all U.S. citizens "to depart Iraq immediately" because of the increased risk.

The strike was directed by President Donald Trump; House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., called on the administration to immediately brief lawmakers. She said the bombing was carried out without "authorization for use of military force" against Iran and without the consultation of Congress.

Multiple domestic U.S. law enforcement agencies said they were keeping a watchful eye on events overseas and ready to react as necessary.

The strike was met with caution by the United Kingdom, one of Washington's biggest allies that in the past has backed it in the Middle East and elsewhere.

"We have always recognized the aggressive threat posed by the Iranian Quds Force led by Qassem Soleimani," British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said. "Following his death, we urge all parties to de-escalate. Further conflict is in none of our interests."

France's deputy minister for foreign affairs, Amelie de Montchalin, told her country's RTL radio station that the airstrike meant "we are waking up in a more dangerous world."

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said in a series of tweets that he has been calling world leaders to reassure them that the "U.S. remains committed to de-escalation." But asked on CNN about the reaction from Paris, Pompeo said, "The French are just wrong about that."

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is cutting short his visit to Greece and was due back in Israel Friday.

"Just as Israel has the right of self-defense, the United States has exactly the same right," he said, adding that Trump "deserves all the credit for acting swiftly, forcefully and decisively."

In addition to being Iran's most senior general, Soleimani also held huge political clout, with many considering his influence second only to that of the supreme leader himself.

His Quds Force is a unit in Iran's powerful Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and classified as a terrorist group by the U.S. and others.

The Iranian militias he cultivated are "responsible for the deaths of hundreds of American and coalition service members and the wounding of thousands more," according to the Department of Defense, which confirmed his death early Friday local time.

Hours after Soleimani's death, Iran announced that Brig. Gen. Esmail Ghaani would replace him as head of the Quds Force, according to the country's semi-official ISNA news agency.

Another man, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, said to be the deputy of the militias' umbrella group and a close adviser to Soleimani, was also killed in the U.S. airstrike, according to Iraqi television reports.

The deaths drew strong censure from Iraq's caretaker prime minister, Adel Abdul-Mahdi, who expressed his "utmost condemnation of the American administration's assassination of the two martyrs" and called them "great symbols in achieving victory against the terrorist group ISIS."

The U.S. has around 5,000 troops in Iraq at the invitation of the government, their brief to assist government troops in the fight against the Islamic State militant group.

But the Iraqi government also recognizes and supports the militia groups, many of which are backed by Iran.

The country's prime minister called Soleimani's killing "a flagrant violation of the conditions for the presence of the American forces in Iraq,'' pointing out that "its role is limited to training Iraqi forces and fighting ISIS within the international coalition forces, under the supervision and approval of the Iraqi government."

Iraqi President Barham Salih told NBC News that "the situation in Iraq is very fragile, very precarious."

He said, "I urge restraint on all sides. Iraq cannot be condemned to another cycle of violence. We have had too many wars over the last four decades. The situation now is very dangerous, no doubt, and that is why I am urging calm."

The airstrikes also prompted some celebrations in Baghdad on Friday, with Pompeo tweeting a video that he said showed Iraqis "dancing in the street for freedom."

In recent months, protests have erupted in the Iraqi capital. The demonstrators are angry at corruption and unemployment but also what they see as the complicity of neighboring Iran in their affairs.

Soleimani was a key figure in his country's involvement in Syria, where it was allied with Russia in supporting President Bashar al-Assad.

Russia's foreign ministry called the killing "an adventurist step" by the U.S. that would lead to increased tensions throughout the region, according to the Interfax news agency.

Meanwhile China urged "all parties concerned, especially the United States, to maintain calm and restraint and to avoid the further escalation of tension," foreign ministry spokesman Geng Shuang told a press briefing Friday.

Time for Deshaun Watson to rise to top of AFC - Houston Chronicle

This is about Bill O'Brien — sixth-year head coach, de-facto general manager, offensive playcaller — proving that he deserves all his accumulated power during a time when seasons, teams and careers are defined.

This is about the Texans taking care of wild-card business against Buffalo inside NRG Stadium on Saturday, then finally winning their first divisional-round playoff game, almost 20 years after beginning life as an NFL expansion franchise on Kirby Drive.

This is the stunning return of J.J. Watt. DeAndre Hopkins with another national platform. Romeo Crennel versus Josh Allen.

But, really, this is all about Deshaun Watson.

Because with these Texans, it always is, right?

How far Watson can carry his team. How many hits the magician in red and blue can elude (and receive). How high D4 — college national champion, NFL first-round pick, franchise quarterback, still just 24 — can soar during an era when Tom Brady is 42, New England's two-decade dynasty is on the verge of normalcy and several young, incredibly athletic QBs are vying for the next coronation.

"He's got a way about him that's awesome for our football team," said O'Brien, referring to the best singular on-field hope the Texans have ever had.

Two Super Bowl spots are clearly up for grabs in 2019. Good luck picking the final winner among Baltimore, Kansas City, New England, San Francisco, Green Bay, New Orleans and Co. But while the elite of the NFC is defined by championship-winning QBs with widely-praised names (Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Russell Wilson), the best remaining field generals in the AFC are highly unique and still staring at their 25th birthdays.

You've got to give them respect and continue to do what they're doing, regardless of what their record is as a team or what the stats say. You always have to give respect," Watson said. "You can't play this game forever, so there's always got to be a new wave of quarterbacks, especially if you want this league to continue to be what it is and be one of the best professional games in the world.

There's the immediate test: Which of the AFC's premier young QBs will rise to the top in the 2019 playoffs? Will an aging, declining Brady make one final run? Or will Tennessee's Ryan Tannehill (31) or the Bills' Allen (23) do just enough to lead a January underdog to LIV?

Then there's the long play.

It felt like it was Peyton Manning versus Brady forever. For a while, Manning was the smart choice for the sport's greatest QB. Then reality gradually hit Manning, Brady kept laughing in the face of time, and there was no question which era-defining quarterback was the most successful of all-time.

It used to be that the Texans had to find a way to get past Peyton Manning, then Andrew Luck; Bill Belichick's Patriots were almost always there, standing on top of the next, defining stage.

As 2020 begins, a contemporary challenge has appeared. For the Texans to do what they've never done before, Watson must carry his team farther than Jackson's Ravens and Mahomes' Chiefs (and Brady's Patriots).

"It's a new season, it's a different energy and every day counts, everything you do counts," Watson said this week, sounding as optimistic and driven as ever. Di instagram stories, ia mengungkapkan kekesalannya. Ia mengunggah sebuah potret yang memperlihatkan kondisi rumahnya saat banjir dan menuslia pesan menohok.

Diam Bukan Berarti Tenang
Yuanita berupaya untuk diam melihat banjir di Jakarta dan juga menimpa rumah kedua orangtua nya. Namun, ia akhirnya mengaku tak bisa hanya tinggal diam.

"Dari kemari diem bukan artinya tenang2 aja," kata Yuanita di instagram stories.

Kecewa
Karena hal ini, Yuanita mengaku sangat kecewa.

"Perasaan hati tuh udah dongkol & kecewa luar biasa. Saya bukan tipe orang yang senang berkonflik apalagi cari2 masalah. Yapi ini sudah amat sangat KETERLALUAN," jelasnya.

Rumah Orangtua Banjir
Yuanita kesal lantaran rumah orangtua yang selama ini tak pernah banjir justru turut menjadi korban.

"Ini kondisi rumah orang tua saya, rumah yang juga saya tempati lebih dari 20 tahun. Hati saya hancur liatnya. Selama kami tinggal disini TIDAK PERNAH 1x pun air banjir masuk ke dalam rumah," jelasnya.


Bukan Soal Takdir
Lebih lanjut ia mengatakan bila ia tak bisa hanya diam melihat kondisi banjir di Jakarta yang amat parah itu.

"Tiba2 air masuk setinggi ini? Terus harus diem aja, ga boleh bereaksi? Ini bukan masalah takdir, politik, apalagi agama. Saya orang yang paling menghargai perbedaan dan tau toleransi," papar Yuanita.

Penyekapan dilakukan di rumah pelaku di Desa Banjarejo, Kecamatan Pakis, Kabupaten Malang. Pelaku yakni Artimunah (62).

Artimunah memiliki empat anak yaitu Titin Yuliarsih (45), Asminiwati (44), Virnawati (40) dan Anis Mufidah (36). Mereka diduga telah disekap ibunya selama 15 tahun.

Kasubag Humas Polres Malang AKP Ainun Djariyah mengatakan, terbongkarnya dugaan penyekapan berdasarkan laporan warga kepada kepala desa setempat. "Pemdes kemudian berkoordinasi dengan Muspika Pakis dan pagi tadi mendatangi kediaman terduga pelaku," kata Ainun saat dikonfirmasi detikcom, Jumat (3/1/2020).

Kedatangan rombongan Muspika Pakis terdiri kapolsek, danramil dan camat sempat mengalami kendala. Dua anak pelaku yang diduga depresi sempat berontak saat akan dievakuasi.

"Namun berkat pendekatan yang dilakukan bersama tim medis dari Puskesmas serta Dinsos, akhirnya bisa membawa mereka keluar dari rumah," beber Ainun.

Melihat kondisi seperti itu, kemudian para korban bersama terduga pelaku dievakuasi ke RSJ Dr Radjiman Wediodiningrat guna dilakukan pemeriksaan medis. "Terduga pelaku bersama empat putrinya ketika berhasil dievakuasi langsung dibawa ke RSJ Lawang untuk dilakukan pemeriksaan," imbuh Ainun.

Sementara terkait alasan Artimunah menyekap keempat putrinya di dalam rumah masih diselidiki oleh aparat kepolisian. Dugaan awal, Artimunah sengaja memaksa keempat putrinya tidak keluar rumah.(detik.com/Artikel Asli)


Ini Doktrin yang Buat Ibu di Malang Sekap 4 Anaknya Belasan Tahun


Alasan seorang ibu di Kabupaten Malang menyekap empat anaknya selama belasan tahun tengah diselidiki. Namun menurut dugaan sementara, aksi penyekapan dilakukan karena sang ibu terpapar doktrin guru spiritualnya.

"Informasi sementara, penyekapan karena doktrin dari guru spiritual sang ibu. Makanya empat putrinya disekap, yang sudah dilakukan selama belasan tahun," ujar Kasubag Humas Polres Malang AKP Ainun Djariyah kepada detikcom, (3/1/2020).

Sang ibu yang melakukan penyekapan bernama Artimunah (62). Polisi masih menunggu hasil pemeriksaan psikologi ibu empat orang itu di RSJ Dr Radjiman Wediodiningrat, Lawang, Kabupaten Malang.

"Doktrin meminta agar tidak keluar rumah. Semua bertujuan agar bisa fokus dalam meditasi," imbuhnya.

Menurut Ainun, sejak termakan doktrin tersebut, keempat putri Artimunah tidak pernah terlihat keluar rumah. Selama itu juga, kata dia, Artimunah diduga banyak melakukan meditasi.


"Tidak keluar rumah untuk meditasi. Kami juga menyita beberapa barang yang diduga menjadi bahan meditasi dari rumah mereka," ungkap Ainun.

Sekadar untuk diketahui, Artimunah telah hidup menjanda setelah suaminya meninggal pada 2004 lalu. Dia banyak menghabiskan waktu bersama putrinya di Desa Banjarejo, Kecamatan Pakis, Kabupaten Malang, tempat dimana mereka tinggal. (sun/bdh/Artikel asli)

Beritaterheboh.com -  Direktur Utama PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) Edi Sukmoro menanggapi viralnya video dia duduk di kursi di atas sampan alias getek yang dibuat dari karet ban dalam dan papan kayu saat meninjau banjir di area sekitar stasiun.

"Saya tidak punya pikiran macam-macam yang penting kita menormalkan kembali supaya angkutan kereta api masih bisa diandalkan," kata Edi dikutip dari Antara, Jumat (3/1/2020).

Ia menjelaskan pihaknya ingin segera memastikan kondisi rel dan lintasan kereta api yang terendam banjir.

"Intinya gini lah kami ini betul-betul ingin melihat kondisi fasilitas KA yang memang pada saat ini bukan cuma satu titik, tapi di beberapa titik itu tergenang air sehingga kita betul-betul prihatin 'concern', harus dilakukan tindakan cepat. Kalau enggak, mungkin kereta yang diparkir di situ malah bukan tidak bisa dioperasikan lagi, malah rusak," ujar Edi.

Edi mengatakan tidak hanya satu titik yang harus dipastikan kelaikan relnya, tetapi juga di sejumlah titik dan di luar Jabodetabek.

"Tidak hanya satu titik yang harus diperhatikan, termasuk stasiun yang mungkin terdampak seperti ini bukan hanya Daop 1 Jakarta, tapi fasilitas lain, dan saya tidak putus untuk berkeliling kemarin pun," katanya.

Dia menyebutkan di Daerah Operasi 2 juga adanya gangguan kereta api karena pohon tumbang, limpasan air. Selain itu adanya longsor di Stasiun Cigombong.

Edi menambahkan saat ini pihaknya juga mendirikan posko, sehingga siaga hingga malam dan melakukan evaluasi setiap harinya.

Hingga saat ini, Ia belum menyebutkan sejumlah kerugian akibat terendamnya rel serta fasilitas KA imbas banjir.

"Kalau hitungan pasti gampang, tetapi pasti sekarang tidak memikirkan hitungan dulu, bagaimana caranya melakukan evakuasi orang-orang terdampak. Kemudian memperbaiki jalur yang pada saat ini perlu diperiksa dulu kalau terjadi sesuatu, perbaikan dilakukan dulu," katanya.

Video seorang pejabat KAI saat meninjau banjir sempat viral di media sosial. Pasalnya, pejabat tersebut diarak menggunakan sampan yang diduga dibuat dadakan menggunakan ban karet dalam dan papan.

Warganet banyak menanggapi video tersebut karena banjir hanya setinggi mata kaki dan pejabat menggunakan sepatu boot tinggi, namun harus diarak.(detik.com/Artikel Asli )

Anies Cerita Banyak Anak Senang Main di Banjir: Dianggap Kolam Renang

"Anak-anak senang main. Ada banjir juga dianggap kolam renang. Pas ditanya dari mana, kampung sebelah," ucap Anies kepada masyarakat korban banjir di lokasi pengungsian Rusunawa Rawa Buaya, Cengkareng, Jakarta Barat, Jumat (3/12/2019).

Masyarakat yang mendengar cerita Anies pun tertawa. Menurut Anies, banyak anak dari lokasi tidak banjir datang hanya untuk bermain air. Anies berpesan agar baju anak-anak dipastikan segera diganti dengan yang kering.

"Banyak anak-anak bukan kampung kena hujan, kena banjir, tapi ingin berenang. Bajunya cepat ganti dengan kering," ucap Anies.

Selain itu, dia memberikan beberapa pesan kepada korban kebanjiran. Dia meminta mereka untuk menjaga kesehatan dan kebersihan.

"Pesan buat semua. Sekarang sedang di tempat tinggal sementara. Nomor satu kesehatan. Kalau ada ngerasa sakit jangan tunggu sampai parah. Di sini ada petugas kesehatan, minta diperiksa, minta obat dan diminum. Kedua, selalu perhatikan kebersihan, istirahat cukup. Pasti capek," ucap Anies.(detik.com)

U.S. airstrike kills top Iran general, Qassim Suleimani, at Baghdad airport - NBC News

The United States killed a high-profile commander of Iran's secretive Quds Force, the Defense Department said late Thursday.

"At the direction of the President, the U.S. military has taken decisive defensive action to protect U.S. personnel abroad," the department said in a statement announcing the death of Qassim Suleimani, a commander of Iran's military forces in Iraq, Syria, Lebanon and elsewhere throughout the Middle East.

The deadly airstrike is likely to escalate tensions between the U.S. and Iran.

Another man, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, said to be the deputy of the militias known as the Popular Mobilization Units and a close adviser to Suleimani, was also killed in the airstrike near Baghdad's airport, according to Iraqi television reports. The PMU tweeted that al-Muhandis and Suleimani were killed when their vehicle was hit on the road to the airport.

In the past, the United States has credited Suleimani's militias with combating a U.S. enemy in Iraq — the Islamic State. Suleimani's Quds Force was a division of Iran's Revolutionary Guard, widely believed to support many Iran-backed terrorist groups, such as Hezbollah.

"This strike was aimed at deterring future Iranian attack plans," the Defense Department said in its statement. "The United States will continue to take all necessary action to protect our people and our interests wherever they are around the world."

The Pentagon said Suleimani had been actively developing plans to attack U.S. diplomats and service members in Iraq and elsewhere throughout the region.

His death is likely to drastically escalate tensions between the United States and Iran, which were already heightened by the New Year's attacks on the U.S. Embassy compound in Baghdad.

Rioters tried for two days to scale the fortress-like walls at the United States' largest embassy. They retreated under a show of force from the Pentagon; 100 Marines were airlifted into the compound, and about 700 more Army paratroopers are expected soon in Kuwait from a global response force based at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Earlier, Defense Secretary Mark Esper threatened a pre-emptive strike against Iranian militias if there were any renewed attacks against U.S. personnel or interests in Iraq. The chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff told reporters that attackers would run into a buzz saw.

The U.S. strike comes amid heightened tensions between the United States and Iran over rocket attacks in Iraq that U.S. officials had blamed on Iranian-backed forces, as well as the attempted breach of the embassy compound in Baghdad.

The conflict at the embassy occurred after U.S. fighter jets struck weapons depots in Iraq and Syria that the United States said were linked with a group called Kataeb Hezbollah, which it blames for attacks on bases of the U.S.-led coalition fighting ISIS in recent months.

At least 25 militia fighters were killed in the airstrikes. The strikes followed the death of a U.S. contractor who was killed on Dec. 27 in a rocket attack on an Iraqi military base in Kirkuk that also hosted coalition forces. Several U.S. service members were also injured.

The Defense Department said in announcing the strike Thursday night that Suleimani had orchestrated attacks on coalition bases in Iraq over several months, including the Dec. 27 attack that killed the contractor.

He "also approved the attacks on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad that took place this week," the Defense Department said in the statement.

Iran's foreign minister, Javad Zarif, called the U.S. action "an extremely dangerous and foolish escalation."

"The U.S. bears responsibility for all consequences of its rogue adventurism," Zarif wrote Twitter.

Iran is likely to retaliate with terrorism and cyberattacks, said Norman Roule, a 34-year CIA veteran who oversaw national intelligence policy on Iran before he retired in 2017.

Roule said in a telephone interview that the U.S. move puts the United States and Iran in a confrontation unlike any other since the hostage crisis in 1979.

"I believe it is highly likely the U.S. would not have undertaken this action unless it believed doing so would have prevented the loss of American lives," Roule said. "American officials are fully aware of the consequences such an action would produce."

The former head of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Mohsen Rezaee, vowed "strong revenge against the United States" on Twitter.

Early Friday, the State Department urged Americans to leave Iraq immediately.

Trump has not appeared to comment on the strike, but he tweeted an image of a U.S. flag with no text.

Earlier this week, when asked about the possibility of war with Iran, Trump said: "I don't see that happening. No, I don't think Iran would want that to happen."

"I want to have peace. I like peace. And Iran should want peace more than anybody," Trump told reporters at his New Year's Eve event at Mar-a-Lago in Florida.

At least one lawmaker expressed alarm at the action.

Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., a member of the Foreign Relations Committee, tweeted: "Soleimani was an enemy of the United States. That's not a question."

"The question is this — as reports suggest, did America just assassinate, without any congressional authorization, the second most powerful person in Iran, knowingly setting off a potential massive regional war?" Murphy said in the tweet.

Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., also a member of the Foreign Relations Committee, tweeted that the United States and Trump "exercised admirable restraint while setting clear red lines & the consequences for crossing them" after what he said were repeated attacks by the Revolutionary Guard.

"#Iran's Quds Force chose the path of escalation," Rubio said in the tweet. "They are entirely to blame for bringing about the dangerous moment now before us."

Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Neb., a member of the Intelligence Committee, said in a statement: "This is very simple: General Soleimani is dead because he was an evil bastard who murdered Americans." Sasse said "the president made the brave and right call."

Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., said in a statement that Suleimani "masterminded Iran's reign of terror for decades, including the deaths of hundreds of Americans."

"Tonight, he got what he richly deserved, and all those American soldiers who died by his hand also got what they deserved: justice," Cotton said, adding that America is safer with the Quds commander dead.

The Trump administration announced in April that it was designating the Revolutionary Guard a foreign terrorist organization, which is the first time the United States had used that designation on part of another country's government.

Since then, there have been several tense incidents involving the United States and Iran, including one in June, when Iran shot down a U.S. surveillance drone that the Revolutionary Guard said had entered Iranian airspace. U.S. Central Command said the aircraft was in international airspace.

The Trump administration also blamed Iran for an attack in September on oil sites in Saudi Arabia, which prompted the United States to deploy military forces to the Middle East that Esper said at the time would be defensive in nature.

Al-Muhandis, the militia official who was killed Thursday, had been accused of plotting attacks on the United States since the 1980s. He was convicted in absentia and sentenced to death by Kuwait for his role in the 1983 attacks on the U.S. and French embassies in Kuwait, in which five Kuwaitis were killed.

The Treasury Department cited al-Muhandis' role in the embassy attack in naming him a Specially Designated National, part of a list of terrorists subject to U.S. sanctions. That designation also said he took part in an assassination attempt on the emir of Kuwait in the early 1980s.

"Itu harus melihat detail, lihat skemanya, saya enggak mau berdebat lah, saya tidak dididik untuk berdebat," ujar Basuki di Kantor Kementerian Maritim dan Investasi, Jumat, 3 Januari 2020.

Basuki lantas menggambarkan situasi di Kampung Pulo, Jatinegara, Jakarta Timur. Basuki mengatakan normalisasi di sana belum rampung sesuai rencana, sehingga air mengalir melalui wilayah yang belum dinormalisasi ke dataran yang rendah. Akibatnya, air menggenang di kawasan tersebut.

"Tapi tidak melimpas, bukan berarti melimpasi parapet yang kita bikin, tidak melimpas kan bersih," ujar Basuki. Sebelumnya, Basuki sempat mengatakan bahwa selama penyusuran kali Ciliwing, ternyata normalisasi baru kelar untuk 16 kilometer dari panjang total 33 kilometer. Sementara itu, Gubernur DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan menyebut normalisasi sungai yang dilakukan pemerintah belum maksimal dalam meredam banjir di ibu kota. Salah satu kali yang telah dinormalisasi adalah Kali Ciliwung.

"Memang benar. Di sini memang sudah dilakukan normalisasi, (tapi) faktanya masih tetap terjadi banjir," kata Anies saat meninjau Kali Ciliwung di Kampung Pulo, Jakarta Timur, Kamis, 2 Januari 2020. Kali Ciliwung di kawasan Kampung Pulo, sempat meluap saat hujan di malam tahun baru, Selasa, 31 Desember lalu. Ribuan rumah di sekitar kali tersebut terendam banjir dengan ketinggian 0,5-2 meter.

Menurut Anies, perlu ada kajian konfrehensif penanganan banjir yang jangka panjang di ibu kota. Terutama, kata dia, pengendalian air di kawasan hulu dengan membangun bendungan atau dam.

Selain dam, mantan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan itu, menyebut pemerintah butuh waduk dan embung untuk menampung air. "Sehingga ada kolam-kolam retensi untuk mengontrol atau mengendalikan volume air yg bergerak ke arah hilir," ujarnya.

Dengan cara itu, Anies optimistis banjir di ibu kota bisa diminimalisasi. "Tapi itu semua kan kewenangannya di pusat ya. Jadi kami lihat nanti pemerintah pusat," ujarnya. "Di Jakarta fokus kami adalah memastikan keselamatan warga. Memastikan bahwa pelayanan terjamin."(Tempo.co)

Beritaterheboh.com - Terjadi silang pendapat antara Gubernur DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan dan Kementerian PUPR soal penyebab banjir. Anies menyebut siap berdebat dan berdiskusi penyebab banjir setelah penanganan selesai.

"Kalau mau debat masalah sebab, nanti setelah ini selesai. Nanti kita siap berdiskusi. Sekarang kita pikirkan warga yang memerlukan (evakuasi)," ucap Anies Baswedan kepada wartawan di Pintu Air Manggarai, Jakarta, Kamis (2/1/2020).

Diketahui, Menteri PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono menyebut penyebab banjir karena pekerjaan normalisasi Ciliwung belum selesai. Namun Anies mengatakan normalisasi tidak efektif jika tidak ada pengendalian air dari hulu.

"Coba lihat Kampung Pulo. Kampung Pulo sudah dinormalisasi belum?" tanya Anies kepada wartawan.

Kampung Pulo menjadi salah satu titik yang ada normalisasi. Namun pada banjir kali ini, Kampung Pulo pun terendam air.

Saat ini Anies mengaku tidak mau berpolemik soal penyebab. Dia ingin mengutamakan penanganan warga.

"Saya tidak ingin berpolemik dulu sekarang. Sekarang ini saya memikirkan supaya warga dapat tempat tinggal lagi, bisa beraktivitas," kata Anies.(detik.com)

Viral Video Remaja Perempuan Diduga Mabuk Joget di Pinggir Jalan Disiram Air Got

Beritatterheboh.com - Seorang remaja perempuan yang diduga mabuk akibat menggunakan narkoba, joget di pinggir Jalan Arifin Ahmad, Kota Pekanbaru, Riau.

Remaja mabuk itu viral setelah aksinya berjoget di pinggir jalan direkam oleh warga kemudian disebarkan ke media sosial.

Dalam video berdurasi 30 detik yang beredar di pesan WhatsApp, yang dilihat Kompas.com, Kamis (2/1/2020), remaja tersebut tampak berjoget sambil duduk dekat sepeda motor matic.

Sejumlah warga yang berada di lokasi tampak menyiram tubuh remaja itu dengan air di parit.

Baju hitam bermotif bunga dan celana jeans panjang yang dipakainya tampak basah.

Warga juga terlihat memberikan susu kaleng.

"Dinetralisir dulu. Kasian lah gitu," kata seorang warga dalam rekaman video tersebut.

Sambil meminum susu kaleng, remaja tersebut semakin kencang menggeleng-gelengkan kepalanya. Kejadian itu sempat menjadi perhatian pengguna jalan.

Diamankan polisi

Setelah videonya viral, remaja perempuan yang diduga mabuk narkoba tersebut berhasil diamankan Satuan Reserse Narkoba Polresta Pekanbaru.

Kapolresta Pekanbaru Kombes Nandang Mu'min Wijaya menyebutkan, perempuan yang diamankan tersebut berinisial FD (19). Dia diamankan bersama pacarnya berinisial RM (19).

"Yang bersangkutan diamankan di  rumahnya bersama pacarnya tadi siang oleh Satresnarkoba Polresta Pekanbaru. Hasil cek urine, mereka positif menggunakan narkotika," ungkap Nandang pada wartawan, Kamis.

Dia mengatakan, peristiwa remaja mabuk di pinggir jalan yang viral di media sosial itu terjadi pada Rabu (1/1/2020) di Jalan Arifin Ahmad, Pekanbaru.

Pada saat FD diamankan dengan pacarnya, RM, kata Nandang, keduanya masih dalam kondisi setengah sadar.

Sehingga, keduanya belum dapat memberikan keterangan dengan jelas kepada petugas.

"Keduanya masih kita lakukan pemeriksaan. Statusnya masih saksi. Kita akan dalami berapa kali mereka menggunakan narkotika," kata Nandang.()

Viral Foto Sebuah Tempat yang Baik-baik Saja, Padahal Dikepung Banjir di Sekelilingnya

Beritaterheboh.com - Hujan yang mengguyur di daerah sekitar Jakarta sejak Selasa (31/12/2019) mengakibatkan sejumlah tempat dilanda banjir.

Bahkan hingga Kamis (2/1/2020), sejumlah tempat masih banyak yang tergenang air.

Namun ada hal yang berbeda dari peristiwa banjir yang melanda Jakarta.

Salah satu tempat di Jakarta terlihat hijau dan asri, walaupun di sekelilingnya terlihat penuh genangan banjir.

Pemandangan ini memperlihatkan keadaan yang kontras.

Postingan tersebut dibagikan oleh Sakinah Ummu Haniy.

Melalui laman Twitter-nya @hhanniiyy , Sakinah memperlihatkan sebuah tempat yang aman-aman saja, dan bahkan tampak tak terpengaruh dengan bencana banjir tersebut.

Sakinah mengatakan kepadaTribunnews, Selasa (2/1/2010), bahwasanya foto tersebut ia ambil pada Senin (1/1/2020).

Ia menyebutkan tempat tersebut berada di Hotel Shangri-La, Jakarta Pusat.

Terkait kenapa Hotel tersebut tidak terdampak banjir, Sakinah tidak bisa memastikannya.

Namun ia menyebutkan jika Hotel Sangri-La sedikit lebih tinggi daripada tempat disekitarnya.

"Di hotel Shangri-La tidak banjir, dan jalanan di bagian depan juga tidak banjir. Yang di foto itu kayaknya di bagian belakangnya," kata Sakinah

"Sepertinya begitu soalnya pas masuk hotel memang ada tanjakan," imbuhnya.

Nampak pada foto, daerah dibelakang hotel Sangri-La sudah terendam banjir secara keseluruhan.

Bahkan bukan hanya pemukiman yang terendam banjir, sebuah masjid yang berukuran cukup besar juga tergenang oleh banjir.

Postingan yang Sakinah bagikan melalui media sosial Twitter ini juga banyak mendapatkan perhatian dari netizen.

Para netizen banyak yang merasa penasaran kenapa hotel tersebut tidak tersentuh oleh banjir.



Ada juga yang berspekulasi jika kontruksi hotel Sangri-La memang lebih baik dan matang dari segi perencanaanya.

"Ko bisa banjirnya ga masuk ke hotelnya si? Asli penasaran, padahal jelas2 disampingmya pas bgt banjir," tulis @rifaamaulida.

"Posisi Shangri-La emang lebih tinggi karena bagian depan dan belakang ga rata bagian depan lebih tinggi makannya bagunan ngikutin jalan depan yang otomatis lebih tinggi dari jalan belakang, " tulis @bumilautlangit

"Gue malah fokus sama itu bangunan bener2 sudah memprhitungkan ya kalo ada banjir sampai2 airnya gk masuk," tulis @hscryhn

Nyesek! Pengakuan Medina Zein Usai Ditetapkan Jadi Tersangka

Beritaterheboh.com - Medina Zein telah resmi ditetapkan sebagai tersangka, setelah dinyatakan positif mengonsumsi narkoba jenis amphetamine alias sabu.

Kendati demikian, berdasarkan hasil pemeriksaan lanjutan, Medina diharuskan menjalankan proses rehabilitasi selama 3 bulan terhitung mulai dari hari ini, Jumat (3/1).

Menurut Kabid Humas Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Yusri Yunus, dari hasil pemeriksaan Medina Zein di Puslabfor Polri beberapa waktu lalu menunjukkan bahwa Medina belum lama menggunakan Zat yang mengandung Amphetamine.

"Untuk MZ tidak bisa terdeteksi karena penggunaannya belum begitu lama," ungkap Yusri Yunus di Polda Metro Jaya.

Senada dengan Yusri, Medina yang juga dihadirkan dalam rilis kasus narkobanya, mengatakan bahwa ia memang belum lama mengonsumsi narkoba.

"Pas cek rambut itu tidak terdeteksi, jadi itu diperkirakan belum lama (menggunakan). Jadi belum lama sampai satu tahun," ungkap Medina Zein.

Selebgram yang mengaku mengidap bipolar sejak 4 tahun lalu ini mengonsumsi obat-obatan yang diberikan dokter untuk mengobati masalah mentalnya itu.

Hanya saja, Medina tak tahu persis jenis obat golongan berapa yang telah ia konsumsi untuk pengobatan.

"Narkoba golongan apa gitu, saya enggak paham, enggak berani nyebutin, nanti boleh tanya kepada dokter yang bersangkutan. Tapi itu memang obat saya, obat penenang saya," bebernya.

Dalam kesempatan yang sama, ia juga meminta maaf kepada seluruh keluarga dan juga rekan kerjanya karena tersangkut masalah hukum. Ia juga berterima kasih kepada pihak kepolisian karena telah menyadarkan dirinya sebelum semuanya terlambat.

"Bahwa narkoba itu bukan sesuatu hal yang bagus untuk digunakan, atau bukan untuk penyembuhan," tandas Medina Zein.(Kumparan.com)

Seperti diketahui, DKI Jakarta dikepung banjir pada hari pertama tahun 2020, Rabu (1/1/2020). Banyak warganet membuat cuitan di Twitter yang mengkritisi kinerja Gubernur DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan selama hampir 3 tahun.

Bahkan Partai Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan (PDIP) mempertanyakan janji Gubernur Anies Baswedan setelah banjir besar yang melanda ibukota pada hari pertama tahun 2020. Menurut PDIP, Anies tak serius merealisasikan program penanggulan banjir seperti janji kampanye saat Pilkada DKI Jakarta 2017.

"Hal ini menjadi renungan kita bersama bahwa janji kampanye terkait banjir di Jakarta bukanlah janji yang mudah untuk dipenuhi, diperlukan pemimpin dengan aksi kongkrit yang nyata, bukan sekadar solusi yang bersifat pendekatan kata-kata, bahwa janji politik juga harus disertai dengan solusi yang realistis dan terukur," kata Ketua Fraksi PDIP di DPRD DKI Jakarta, Gembong Warsono di DKI Jakarta, Kamis, 2 Januari 2020 sebagaimana dilansir dari Tempo.co

Selama dua tahun ini, kata Gembong, praktis tidak ada eksekusi program penanggulangan banjir yang kongkret dari Anies. Menurut dia, program normalisasi sungai yang didengungkan Anies seakan hanya menjadi narasi fiksi tanpa ada eksekusi nyata.

Tak hanya itu ramai-ramai netizen pun mengingatkan soal janji kampanye Anies Baswedan.

"Saya paling kesal ketika masalah protes Anies dianggap pasti Ahoker. Masalah pujian Anies pasti Maniezer.

Jakarta Banjir Bawa Korban Jiwa, Ahok BTP Unggah Cuitan Ini...

Beritaterheboh.com - Mantan Gubernur DKI Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (BTP) alias Ahok berbicara soal banjir yang melanda Jakarta. Ahok berduka atas meninggalnya warga korban banjir Jakarta.

"Turut berduka cita atas korban-korban meninggal #banjir2020 di Jakarta dan sekitarnya," cuit Ahok di akun Twitter @basuki_btp, Jumat (3/1/2020).

Ahok meminta warga yang bermukim di daerah aliran sungai untuk selalu waspada. Ahok berharap bencana banjir segera berakhir.

"Untuk warga yang tinggal di DAS, agar selalu waspada. Semoga bencana banjir ini cepat berlalu dan kondisi pulih kembali," tulis Ahok.


Banjir di Jakarta akibat hujan yang mengguyur sejak Selasa (31/12/2019) sore hingga Rabu (1/1/2020). Banjir juga melanda daerah penyangga Jakarta.

Catatan Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana (BNPB), ada 30 korban jiwa akibat banjir di Jabodetabek. Data itu bersumber dari BPBD setempat, TNI, Polri, Pusat Krisis Kesehatan hingga Kementerian Sosial.

"Kemudian kita cross-check semua, terus kita kumpulkan. Banyak yang cocok, yang tidak cocok tetap kita tambahkan. Jadi sekarang hasilnya ada 30 orang meninggal," kata Kapusdatinkom BNPB Agus Wibowo kepada detikcom di kantorBNPB, Jalan Proklamasi,Matraman, Jakarta Timur, Kamis (2/1).(detik.com)

Gubernur Anies Singgung Pengendalian Air di Hulu, Bupati Bogor Beri Jawaban Telak!

Beritaterheboh.com - Bupati Bogor Ade Yasin angkat bicara menanggapi pernyataan Gubernur DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan mengenai pengendalian air di Hulu Sungai Ciliwung untuk mengatasi permasalahan banjir di ibu kota.

Menurut Ade, sejauh ini pihaknya, selaku kepala daerah di wilayah hulu, sudah menangani semaksimal mungkin mengendalikan air untuk beberapa aliran sungai, salah satunya membalikan fungsi lahan serapan.

"Rasanya begini, kalau air itu kan di hulu, ya kita kan punya hulu, jadi saya pikir upaya yang kita lakukan nobat (nongol babat) merobohkan vila-vila tanpa izin atau juga yang berdiri di atas lahan Perhutani sudah kita upayakan," kata Ade saat ditemui di Kecamatan Nanggung, Kabupaten Bogor pada Kamis (2/1/2020).

Dalam permasalahan Banjir Jakarta, lanjut Ade Yasin, sebaiknya antara daerah khususnya yang dilintasi aliran sungai dari Kabupaten Bogor tidak saling menyalahkan.

"Dan juga sungai itu juga bukan kewenangan kita masalahnya, tetapi kita berusaha meminimalisir sampahnya. Di sini tidak perlu saling menyalahkan ya, karena kalau saya harus membela diri ya saya juga bisa, karena kita adanya di atas. Tapi kan enggak bisa begitu juga dalam kondisi seperti ini kita harus saling legowo tidak harus saling menyakahkan," ungkapnya.

Ia pun mencontohkan kepala daerah lainnya yang wilayahnya juga dialiri oleh sungai dari Kabupaten Bogor tetap berkomunikasi dengan baik mengatasi persoalan ini.

"Sama dengan Bekasi, kan aliran Sungai Cikeas dan Sungai Cileungsi ke Bekasi tetapi Wali Kota Bekasi tidak menyalahkan kami, malah kita kontak-kontaan saling membantu, harusnya gitu," katanya.

Sebelumnya, Gubernur Anies Baswedan menyebut permasalahan banjir bukan karena program normalisasi Kali Ciliwung yang belum selesai.

"Kuncinya itu ada pada pengendalian air, sebelum masuk pada kawasan pesisir. Kalau bisa dikendalikan, InsyaAllah bisa dikendalikan. Tapi selama membiarkan air mengalir begitu saja, selebar apa pun sungainya, maka volume air akan luar biasa. Karena makin banyak kawasan yang digunakan untuk perumahan, sehingga air mengalir ke sungai," kata Anies.(suara.com)
